Beyond the Page: Meet the Authors Shaping DEI in Veterinary Medicine

The Multicultural Veterinary Medical Association (MCVMA) is launching Beyond the Page: Meet the Authors Shaping DEI in Veterinary Medicine, a new webinar series that brings groundbreaking scholarship on diversity, equity, and inclusion directly to the veterinary profession.

The series features authors from Elsevier’s Veterinary Clinics: Small Animal Practice – DEI in Veterinary Medicine, Parts 1 & 2, the first comprehensive DEI-focused publications in the field to be permanently open access thanks to Maddie’s Fund®. Now available free to read and share at mcvma.org/publications.

The first two events are:

• Sept. 30 – Dr. Michael J. Blackwell on “Bridging Gaps in Veterinary Care: Equity, Access, and Innovation”
• Oct. 14 – Stephen Niño Cital & Camia Tonge on “Diversifying Veterinary Technician Specialties” (National Veterinary Technician Week feature)
