We are excited to see you in Portland this summer. The program promises to be fantastic. We are reviewing speaker proposals and planning a comprehensive agenda for all attendees. Fees for the conference programming from Friday, July 31 - Sunday, August 2 include breakfast all three days, lunch on Friday and Saturday, an evening reception on Saturday, and snacks during select break periods. Community Give Back Event - Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 6:00 PM On Thursday evening, we are hosting the Community Give Back Event right in the conference hotel. After the day's pre-course sessions, we'll be packaging food and supplies for the PAW Team, an organization providing vital veterinary services, supplies, and wrap-around support for more than 4,300 Portland-area families every year. We will also engage with the DoveLewis Pet Loss Support Program, including spending time with therapy dogs from the PACTT teams, and the opportunity to make sympathy cards and memorial tokens. This highlights the importance of community and honoring the human–animal bond. The event is being sponsored by Platinum Educational Group and DoveLewis. We hope you will join us to connect with friends and colleagues, enjoy food and beverage, and give back to the Portland culture of loving pets. About the AVTE Conference
The AVTE Annual Conference brings together internationally known thought leaders and front-line innovators to educate the next generation of Veterinary Technician Leaders. Each year, the AVTE Conference Committee will accept proposals for sessions that:
- Support the association’s mission of promoting quality education in veterinary technology;
- Introduce new, unique, and successful methods of teaching today’s college students;
- Incorporate interactive learning methods (not completely lecture-based); and
- Would be taught by professionals known for their exceptional teaching styles
